There Will Be Freedom

This post is a tribute to those who died in the long road for freedom. To those who wanted the dirt off. To those who sacrificed their lives for us. And last but not least, to those who still have their hands in cuffs.
We will remember you, now and forever.

I can see the day the pain’s gone away. There is shine in people’s eyes, smile on their faces. They now understand what a valuable piece of blessing Freedom is. They don’t take it for granted anymore. They know that they must work hard to keep it. I can see that day, I can feel it.

The last part goes to some very touching quotes from the movie “Valkyrie“.

1. Stauffenberg: Do you know how this war will end, Lieutenant?
The portrait will be unhung, and the man will be hung.

2. Henning: Well, we have to show the world, that not all of us were like him.

3. Ervin Von Witzleben: You may hand us over to the executioner, but in three months’ time, the disgusted and hurried people will bring you to book and drag you alive through the dirt in the streets.

You did not bear the shame, you resisted, sacrificing your life for freedom, justice and honor.
-From the German resistance memorial, Berlin

Everlasting Loneliness

The mood I’ve been living with for a long time. The mood that many may deny having it, but they do have it. The feeling that seems to be everlasting…

John Cheever (1912-82) :
A lonely man is a lonesome thing, a stone, a bone, a stick, a receptacle for Gilbey’s gin, a stooped figure sitting at the edge of a hotel bed, heaving copious sighs like the autumn wind.

Mother Teresa (1910-97) :
When Christ said: ‘I was hungry and you fed me,’ he didn’t mean only the hunger for bread and for food; he also meant the hunger to be loved.  Jesus himself experienced this loneliness.  He came amongst his own and his own received him not, and it hurt him then and it has kept on hurting him.  The same hunger, the same loneliness, the same having no one to be accepted by and to be loved and wanted by.  Every human being in that case resembles Christ in his loneliness; and that is the hardest part, that’s real hunger.

Brainstorm #1

Every now and then, we happen to have brainstorms. Most of the time, if all tools available!, I draw randomly things that make no sense. Sometimes after it’s all over, I find them interesting drawings. Here is one…

Live or …

Some live to love and some love  to live. But some, never have the chance, since they are not granted any. Sometimes when you want you get and sometimes you don’t. And sometimes the word “some” changes into “many”.  Maybe another time, another day. Maybe never. Maybe it has to be this way.

The Opportunity of Living

Twenty one years ago on a Tuesday morning, he was born and given the chance to experience the life. Later they called him Hamed… .

Once someone told me that every seven years, one has a milestones in his life. “You don’t even have a single cell on your body which existed seven years ago”, he added. That’s a change, not only physical but also spiritual.

Therefore, I’m on my 3rd milestone right now. That is meant to be a turning point. As I think about this, I remember a quote in “Vanilla Sky” movie. “Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around”. I agree with this one more. A turning point could be anytime, Even at this very special moment that we’re alive, even though most of us do not appreciate life while we’re healthy and full of it.

Twenty one years passed in the blink of an eye and with another blink, I will be 42. That’s the life, the nature of life. It goes very quickly and we understand the importance of time after almost losing it. What we really achieve, does not come out of tomorrow. One should not wait for tomorrow to come. Tomorrow is the result of today’s actions which are based on yesterday’s experiences.

Life has got so many of bright and gloomy moments simultaneously. Everyone’s life has them in fact. No blames, that’s the way it is and will be. It’s a chance to live, a reason to fight for, a road to reach the eternity through, where the real peace and truth show up, where we are all heading for.

Iran, US Clash, Inevitable?

In this post, I would like to point out some personal beliefs over the political issues. Please note that I DO NOT have the purpose to target any political side in the world. These are MY OWN beliefs only and never intended to target any group.

Politics has always been a main subject to discuss among people. As you consider any of your family reunions, you notice many of them contain political talks. As for me, I like to follow news and estimations about future political events just for my own information. For me, there is a personal belief which I have found proof over the years. THERE IS NO ABSOLUTE GOOD SIDE IN POLITICS.

For a better explanation, I make an example. In computer world, everything is based on 0 and 1 and the infinite combinations of them. I could say 1 or 0 but not 0.3 which is a relative number between two digits that represents much likeness to 0 than 1. While at the same time it is not absolute 0. In fact, this is the way I believe the universe is built. No absolutes. For an expanded explanation of the issue, you can read more on Fuzzy Logic.

The same logic goes right in politics. One side of the political issue could be 0.6 right while the other side is only 0.4 right. The degree could change for any sides. But one thing is clear. No side can be 100 % right. If we look at the things going on in our world this way, interpretation of events seem easier.

In most political issues or clashes, people are the real victims. The history has proven this statement to be right many many times. Possible Iran and US clash will be no exception. There will be no winner as the both sides will be losers. The real loser, will be people while there is not a real winner. Oh, poor people, always victims of their ruler’s ambitiousness.

Sometimes, I do not see the world we live in as a human place. Are we really human beings? How can we be in peace while the world has never been less peaceful than what it is today. There have been more wars than before in all over the world.

Then we call ourselves civilized. Yeah. Civilized to kill unarmed and innocent people, civilized to cheat on our people, civilized to take advantage of our people, civilized to be the voice of our people to do everything we like, civilized to take advantage of people’s beliefs (religious or non-religious beliefs). Yes. We are civilized.

The Moment of Peace

How long should one wait for the moment of absolute peace?

Oww, the moment of peace. Could it be real? Why not. Isn’t it a concept that anyone would accept? Then it must be real. Has anyone ever reached that moment? Taking a quick look around, one finds almost everyone struggling for a better life. The first look does not guide one directly to the answer. It seems that no one is in real peace although people may claim having it. One notices then, anyone has a desire of peace. The peace and it’s desire could be the main reason for people to be in struggle. But do they find it?

Time has passed, so much has changed but the feeling still remains in one’s heart. He has the answer now. He knows when the real moment of peace shows up. He has aged years to reach the end. The end of his days, his struggles, the start of eternity, the true moment of peace.

Love Unconditionally

A few weeks ago, we had a hot discussion about love and consequences of love in our English class. Our English teacher, Mr. Ansaari, gave a very nice speech on an unconditional love. There were many things told from the students in addition to his speech. The atmosphere of the class could put anyone under a revision of his/her beliefs. I wasn’t an exception either. There are many questions anyone can ask himself/herself and expect a clear answer to them. Although I’d spent a lot of time with thinking of similar concepts, there were still many questions that crossed my mind about the issue again.

Many of us think very perfect of the matters in our daily life. “You shouldn’t do that, cause you’re gonna hurt somebody’s feelings” is a very common phrase we hear all the time. However, the question is, how many of us believe the same about our own experiences? Would we apply the same saying to ourselves if an incident takes place? Can we really stand the fact that giving love should not contain an intention of receiving the equal love? What really brings love? What really makes us love somebody or something? Isn’t that because we need the same attention from someone? Isn’t that because we love in order to be loved? If we receive the love we need, will we still need to love someone? Which one is more important to us, to love, or to be loved? Isn’t it kind of selfish to seek love for ourselves?

What does love contain then? Is that just physical feelings? If it is not, it should contain a very large scale of spiritual feelings. Ok then, but why do we seem to loose the love we have to someone if he/she looses his/her face skin due to an accident? Is physical condition that important? Why don’t the old people loose their love to each other then?

As you see, lots of questions could be asked and a variety of answers may come into view. For me, there are only a few examples of a true and unconditional love. One is the love of a mother to her child. She stands to devote all she has to raise up the child. She suffers any unpleasant conditions so that the child would not get hurt. She gives all the love she can even if the child does not repay a bit of her love. That’s what I like to call a true love. Giving away the love, as much as we can, and never expecting a return. Because the source of love is eternal. As much we give away, much much more we discover.

My Old PC Gets Out of Order

My old PC got shut down yesterday night without any reason. First I thought that might be a virus or something which caused the immediate unwanted shut down. As soon as pushed the power button, I noticed that HDD does not produce any noises, so I thought that HDD’s life is over. Fortunately, it was not. I checked it with the other PC and it was OK. The problem was with the Power Source and it’s the second time that I have to change power source in order to get it running again. I haven’t still made up my mind to buy a new power source for my first PC which pushed me into the vast computer world and changed my direction in life. I got to know the computer basics by this machine and it’s really hard to bid farewell to it. You may not believe but the modem on this old PC transmitted Gigs of data. One for instance, was the downloading of 4.5 Gigs of data in 15 days through the phone line. It’s a memorial of my computer life and I’m determined to keep it.

Below you can see important specifications of the system and also two photos I took from it’s Quantum HDD and Case. Click on each photo to view a larger picture.

Specifications:

CPU: Intel based 500 MH !
HDD: 20 GB Quantum Fireball. (You’re always in my heart, Quantum).
Ram: 128 MB (Initial Ram was a single 64 MB module).
Modem: Motorola 56k
