Enigma project’s seventh album will be released soon! This is probably the best news I’ve heard in days. The official release date is September 19th, 2008. Below is the official comments on the new album from newly created website of Enigma (EnigmaSpace.com):
“The musical project ENIGMA leaves for a gigantic, infinite NEW WORLD. Seventh chapter will expand the current sound catalogue with a totally new one, creating an Omnicultural wave all around!!”
And here again we have very meaningful track names in revealed tracklisting:

I really can’t wait to listen to this hopefully another masterpiece from Michael Cretu, the man behind Enigma. The title of the album also moves me just like the track names. Besides all these good news, I also read that Michael Creto and his wife Sandra got divorced. This was a sad one but I hope it won’t have any side effects on Michael’s music career.
Anyways, I’m eagerly waiting for 7th Enigma and I hope that I’ll get the same or even higher pure joy I have been experiencing with Enigma’s 6th, A Posteriori.

The single release for new album was released on August 8th with two tracks of
the new album:

2. La Puerta Del Cielo
In my own opinion, “Seven Lives” is much like E5 style while “La Puerta Del Cielo” is a totally Enigmatic song which takes you off earth. A great and brilliant song that you can’t ask for more! Anytime I listen to it, I visualize “The Door to Heaven”. A perfect match for the meaning, wouldn’t enter Heaven without this song being played

Finally! I find some TRUE Enigma fans in this dead country besides myself.
I heard the song “Seven lives” is going to be the theme song of the 2008 olympics of China. Any idea if it’s true?

Anyways, Enigma’s “Seven Lives” is The Official ARD Theme Song of the Olympic Games as it has been mentioned in enigma 7’s official web site (www.enigmaspace.com). In fact, it has been featured on German Public TV as the signature tune to the coverage of Olympic Games. Also to be told, as you may already know, Enigma 7’s Single was released on August 8th. Leave me a reply if you don’t have it yet

I have an album from Enigma which is not mentioned in any official Enigma album lists. It’s called “Metamorphosis”. I’m pretty sure it’s enigma because it starts with the words “This is the voice of Enigma…” If you know anything about it or why it hasn’t been considered as an official album, I’d be glad to know. (I’m not very familiar with this website, and I’m sorry if I shouldn’t have mentioned something else than Enigma7.)

I have heart Encounters, and too have touchness. Beautiful, it contains two childrens voices-one singing and one talking. A mellow track-very nice.

Please, please - if you like Enigma at all, DON’T SHARE MUSIC FILES! This discourages people from legally buying the album. Less album sales means less likelihood Enigma will continue in the future. Please be patient people - I know how hard it is, as I love this music too. But only a few more weeks

some fake songs is on the net. p2p programs already list encounters, deja vu, the same parents, touchness and so on… it is all fake and i am SURE that our friend above doesn’ have the real thing at all!

Thumbs up for amoyaan, mr and Shadow. I agree with shadow on fake music found on p2p networks and to me that’s mostly the case. I tried contacting Aligma but he didn’t answer back. Personally, I don’t think anyone has got his hands on the new album despite Michael Cretu and his trusted ones and the recording company. Also, there were 3 webmasters of Enigma fans web sites who were given the chance of listening to new album by Michael Cretu himself. The exclusive listening session was conducted in Michael’s private studio

About amoyaan’s comment, I totally agree with you on this issue but there are unfortunately true facts out there. One single example is my own experience. Here in Iran, we don’t have any official releases of albums of any kind since it is kinda forbidden by government and at the same time recording companies are not interested in releasing albums. So what other options do we have left? The only option could be buying music from iTunes but it is no good again since iTunes does not accept prepaid credit cards from Iran (the only type available in Iran with almost a high price). If I had the option, I would’ve paid twice as much for Michael Cretu’s music…

It’s finally out! I listened to it completely. Like all his other works, this one is also new and interesting. Seven Lives Many Faces is full of distortions and strong music. But it’s not perfect. Instead of slow and ambient themes, we more face shouting and singing, and undoubtedly Michael’s vocals are no match for his music. There are some nice tricks like in the “deja vu” we hear some things from “the Roundabout” of Enigma3 and it really is a deja vu. Or in “Hell’s heaven”, we have nice music representing the heaven, but some distortions appear in the middle to remind us our heaven is located in hell! Encounters is long for an Enigma first music and is based on heartbeat rythem. Between Generations is all indian singing, but unlike “La Puerta Del Cielo” it’s sad and it reminded me the songs they sing for martyrs. Anyway, it’s admirable. But I still believe, “A Posteriori” is Enigma’s best album.

Nice to see you back Majid,
I pretty much agree with you on new album, and I too believe “A Posteriori” or E6 is better than E7 but I should say that these two albums are categorized in different groups. E7 is pretty much E5 style but a way much better than E5 and it has a good potential to grow inside. Of course not all tracks are favourable. I’ll publish the full review of the new album on official album release date, therefore I leave my thoughts on each track to that time.
